1 to~WHAT {לָמָּה / la'mah} they~did~BE.TUMULTUOUS(V) {רָגְשׁוּ / rag'shu} NATION~s {גוֹיִם / go'yim} and~COMMUNITY~s {וּלְאֻמִּים / ul'u'mim} they(m)~will~MUTTER(V) {יֶהְגּוּ / yeh'gu} EMPTY {רִיק / riyq} RMT: Why did the nations be tumultuous and the communities will mutter emptiness.

2 they(m)~will~self~STATION(V) {יִתְיַצְּבוּ / yit'yats'vu} KING~s {מַלְכֵי / mal'khey} LAND {אֶרֶץ / e'rets} and~BE.COMMANDING(V)~ing(mp) {וְרוֹזְנִים / wê'roz'niym} they(m)~did~be~FOUNDED(V) {נוֹסְדוּ / nos'du} TOGETHER {יָחַד / ya'hhad} UPON {עַל / al} YHWH {יְהוָה / YHWH} and~UPON {וְעַל / wê'al} SMEARED~him {מְשִׁיחוֹ / mê'shiy'hho} RMT: The kings of the land will station themselves and the commanding ones were found together, over YHWH and over his smeared one.

3 we~will~be~DRAW.AWAY(V)~& {נְנַתְּקָה / nê'nat'qah} AT {אֶת / et} STRAP~s~them(m) {מוֹסְרוֹתֵימוֹ / mos'ro'tey'mo} and~we~will~make~THROW.OUT(V)~& {וְנַשְׁלִיכָה / wê'nash'liy'khah} FROM~us {מִמֶּנּוּ / mi'me'nu} THICK.WOVEN~s~them(m) {עֲבֹתֵימוֹ / a'vo'tey'mo} RMT: Let us draw away their straps and let us throw out their thick woven things from us.

4 SETTLE(V)~ing(ms) {יוֹשֵׁב / yo'sheyv} in~the~SKY~s2 {בַּשָּׁמַיִם / ba'sha'ma'yim} he~will~LAUGH(V) {יִשְׂחָק / yis'hhaq} Adonai {אֲדֹנָי / a'do'nai} he~will~MOCK(V) {יִלְעַג / yil'ag} to~~them(m) {לָמוֹ / la'mo} RMT: The one settling in the skies will laugh, Adonai will mock them.

5 AT.THAT.TIME {אָז / az} he~will~much~SPEAK(V) {יְדַבֵּר / yê'da'beyr} TO~them(m) {אֵלֵימוֹ / ey'ley'mo} in~NOSE~him {בְאַפּוֹ / vê'a'po} and~in~the~FLAMING.WRATH~him {וּבַחֲרוֹנוֹ / u'va'hha'ro'no} he~will~much~STIR(V)~them(m) {יְבַהֲלֵמוֹ / yê'va'ha'ley'mo} RMT: At that time, he will speak to them with his nose[1], and with his flaming wrath he will stir them.

6 and~I {וַאֲנִי / wa'ani} I~did~POUR(V) {נָסַכְתִּי / na'sakh'tiy} KING~me {מַלְכִּי / mal'kiy} UPON {עַל / al} Tsiyon {צִיּוֹן / tsiy'yon} HILL {הַר / har} SPECIAL~me {קָדְשִׁי / qad'shi} RMT: And I poured[2] my king upon Tsiyon, my special hill.

7 I~will~much~COUNT(V)~& {אֲסַפְּרָה / a'sap'rah} TO {אֶל / el} CUSTOM {חֹק / hhoq} YHWH {יְהוָה / YHWH} he~did~SAY(V) {אָמַר / a'mar} TO~me {אֵלַי / ey'lai} SON~me {בְּנִי / bê'ni} YOU(ms) {אַתָּה / a'tah} I {אֲנִי / a'ni} the~DAY {הַיּוֹם / hai'yom} I~did~BRING.FORTH(V)~you(ms) {יְלִדְתִּיךָ / yê'liyd'tiy'kha} RMT: Let me recount concerning the custom of YHWH, he said to me[3], you are my son, today I brought you forth.

8 !(ms)~INQUIRE(V) {שְׁאַל / shê'al} FROM~me {מִמֶּנִּי / mi'me'ni} and~I~will~GIVE(V)~& {וְאֶתְּנָה / wê'et'nah} NATION~s {גוֹיִם / go'yim} INHERITANCE~you(ms) {נַחֲלָתֶךָ / na'hha'la'te'kha} and~HOLDINGS~you(ms) {וַאֲחֻזָּתְךָ / wa'a'hhu'zat'kha} FAR.END~s {אַפְסֵי / aph'sey} LAND {אָרֶץ / a'rets} RMT: Inquire from me and let me give the nations your inheritance, and your holdings of the far ends of the land.

9 you(ms)~will~FEED(V)~them(m) {תְּרֹעֵם / tê'ro'eym} in~STAFF {בְּשֵׁבֶט / bê'shey'vet} IRON {בַּרְזֶל / bar'zel} like~UTENSIL {כִּכְלִי / kikh'liy} MOLD(V)~ing(ms) {יוֹצֵר / yo'tseyr} you(ms)~will~much~SCATTER(V)~them(m) {תְּנַפְּצֵם / tê'nap'tseym} RMT: You will feed them with a staff of iron, like the utensil of a potter you will scatter them.

10 and~NOW {וְעַתָּה / wê'a'tah} KING~s {מְלָכִים / mê'la'khim} !(mp)~make~CALCULATE(V) {הַשְׂכִּילוּ / has'kiy'lu} !(mp)~be~CORRECT(V) {הִוָּסְרוּ / hi'was'ru} DECIDE(V)~ing(mp) {שֹׁפְטֵי / shoph'tey} LAND {אָרֶץ / a'rets} RMT: And now kings, calculate, be corrected, decide the land.

11 !(mp)~SERVE(V) {עִבְדוּ / iv'du} AT {אֶת / et} YHWH {יְהוָה / YHWH} in~FEARFULNESS {בְּיִרְאָה / bê'yir'ah} and~!(mp)~DANCE.AROUND(V) {וְגִילוּ / wê'giy'lu} in~SHAKING.IN.FEAR {בִּרְעָדָה / bir'a'dah} RMT: Serve YHWH with fearfulness and dance around with shaking fear.

12 !(mp)~much~KISS(V) {נַשְּׁקוּ / nash'qu} PURE {בַר / var} OTHERWISE {פֶּן / pen} he~will~SNORT(V) {יֶאֱנַף / ye'e'naph} and~you(mp)~will~PERISH(V) {וְתֹאבְדוּ / wê'tov'du} ROAD {דֶרֶךְ / de'rekh} GIVEN.THAT {כִּי / ki} he~will~BURN(V) {יִבְעַר / yiv'ar} like~SMALL.AMOUNT {כִּמְעַט / kim'at} NOSE~him {אַפּוֹ / a'po} HAPPY {אַשְׁרֵי / ash'rey} ALL {כָּל / kol} TAKE.REFUGE(V)~ing(mp) {חוֹסֵי / hho'sey} in~~him {בוֹ / vo} RMT: Kiss purity, otherwise he will snort[4] and you will perish on the road, given that his nose[5] will burn a little, happy are all that take refuge in him.
